TRANSMISSION MAINTENANCE IN STATEN ISLAND, NY

Transmission fluid does far more than lubricate. It carries hydraulic pressure that engages your clutches and bands, it cools the unit under load, and it suspends the microscopic debris that normal wear produces. Over thousands of miles that fluid oxidizes, thins out, and loads up with grit — and once it stops doing its job, internal components wear quickly and expensively.

Regular maintenance at our Staten Island, NY shop is the cheapest insurance you can buy for your drivetrain. Stop-and-go driving, towing, hills, and summer heat all shorten fluid life, so vehicles driven around the borough often need service sooner than the owner's manual suggests.

Our basic maintenance service removes the transmission pan, replaces the filter and pan gasket, cleans out accumulated sediment, and refills the system with the correct fluid for your vehicle. It is a smart, low-cost service that catches early warning signs — such as metal particles in the pan — before they become failures.

A complete system flush goes further. In addition to the basic service, we exchange the fluid throughout the entire system, including the torque converter and cooler lines, so almost none of the old contaminated fluid remains. We also inspect the solenoids, sensors, seals, and linkage adjustments while the vehicle is on the lift, and we handle clutch service for manual transmissions.

We service cars, trucks, SUVs, and RVs, foreign and domestic, using the specific fluid type each manufacturer requires — using the wrong fluid is one of the most common causes of premature transmission failure, and it is a mistake we never make.
